Modern women obsession with "soft life" and "princess treatment" has made a whole generation of women completely blind to the brutal reality of what it actually takes for a man to provide that.
You are demanding a man be endlessly romantic, available 24/7, and constantly planning aesthetic dates, while he is literally in the trenches fighting a ruthless economy to build the very empire you want to rest in.
You cannot demand the spoils of war and then complain that the soldier is too tired to entertain you when he finally gets home. We want the absolute financial security of a conqueror, but we expect him to have the carefree personality and infinite free time of a golden retriever. A man cannot simultaneously be at peace and at war. If he is building your fortress, you have to give him the grace to be exhausted
Your action can build her dreams and keep her raising her hand in class, not dropping out due to barriers like school fees or menstrual challenges. Dear Mr President, @KagutaMuseveni,
RE: Mulago Hospital Has No Water.
Sir, we write to you with a mix of trepidation, awe and utter disbelief.
Trepidation because we don’t know the limit to which our communication must go before we are picked up for speaking too much truth to power.
Awe because you still command it, all of 38 years later. “Okyaali Musajja”, as our old man is wont to say. You’re still the man.
Utter disbelief…well, it might take us a month to simply list the reasons we are in utter disbelief. We’ve watched and read your 70s/80s speeches and writings, you know…
Mr President, we go through our days muttering under our breath, words like: WTH/what are our priorities/which country is this?
Because how do we explain to outsiders that the hospital that used to be referred to as “the best in black Africa” doesn’t have running water and people have to pay hospital workers to fetch them water in jerrycans, from outside?
How do we explain the fact that your government spends mini fortunes on the likes of Speaker @AnitahAmong and her deputy Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa to power up their palatial homes-for the one day in months that UMEME load sheds-but the national referral hospital doesn’t have basic running water or medicine?
How do we explain the fact that we are among the leaders in teenage pregnancy IN THE WORLD, despite your administration’s best efforts to preach abstinence and nothing else?
Mr President, we know that you lent your own personal Doctor, @DianaAtwine to the country to serve it as the PS at @MinofHealthUG, in the hope that she would do as good a job as she’s done to keep you healthy and strong as you get into your 80s.
On the evidence of things, the opposite is happening here, Sir. As you get stronger, our healthcare institutions get weaker.
Ugandans are dying early deaths at the hands of an underfunded, under-staffed healthcare system, Mr President.
You’re prioritizing politicians and sacrificing the rest of us, Sir.
It doesn’t help matters that said politicians are the very ones that pass senseless laws that have got the donor community, that has been shouldering most of our healthcare budget, to retreat.
Mr President, wano tetukutegedde, Ssebo. Tutangazeemu.
Best,
Abazukulu abanyiivu.
I have just realized these people below ;
1~ Mathias Mpuuga
2~Medard Sseggona
3~Elias Lukwago
4~Mukasa Mbidde
They are just comfortable being in opposition but don’t have any intentions of wanting M7 out of power 🤞🏻😂😂😂
