The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) today officially unveiled Air4, its new Airbus H125 helicopter, marking a significant enhancement to the service's air support capabilities and ongoing commitment to public safety.

Air4 will be operated by DRPS's Combined Air Support Unit (CASU). The aircraft will provide aerial support to frontline officers throughout Durham Region, delivering real-time intelligence and enhanced situational awareness during critical incidents, missing person searches, major investigations, emergency responses and proactive policing initiatives.

The acquisition of Air4 was made possible through Ontario's investment in the Joint Air Support Unit (JASU), a collaborative initiative involving Durham Regional Police Service, Peel Regional Police, Halton Regional Police Service and Toronto Police Service. Supported by funding from the Government of Ontario, JASU strengthens aviation resources across the Greater Toronto Area and helps ensure specialized air support is available when and where it is needed most.

We have infinity Indians everywhere, we won’t find them to deport them, and simultaneously being flooded with Muslims and mosques. We have global conflicts carried out on Canadian soil.

This is not the Canada I knew and loved. The Canada my dad immigrated to to build a better life.

MISSING PERSON | OSHAWA
Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing vulnerable 14-year-old female from Oshawa.

Brooklynn, age 14, was last seen in the area of Ritson Road North and Pentland Street in Oshawa.

Brooklynn is described as: female, Indigenous, approximately 5'7" tall, with a slim build, blue eyes, and black hair.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of this female or that has any information is asked to contact police at 905-579-1520.

UPDATE #1 - Male Wanted After Striking Officers While Fleeing Police

Police have identified and are seeking a male suspect after officers were struck by a Tesla during an incident in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 1:05 a.m., members of Central East Division on proactive patrol observed an Acura sedan travelling on Simcoe Street North with no lights at a high rate of speed. Officers initiated a traffic stop; however, the vehicle fled the area, failing to stop for police. Officers searched the area and located the vehicle parked unoccupied in a residential driveway. After a brief search of the neighbourhood, the driver was located hiding in a backyard and taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle located a replica firearm, and drugs. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was on conditions not to have care or control of a motor vehicle and remain in his residence at night.

As officers continued their investigation, a Tesla SUV entered the area at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to speak with the driver as the Tesla came to a stop. While speaking with the driver, the vehicle attempted to reverse, striking two officers, before fleeing the area.

One officer was transported to a local-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The second officer attended a local-area hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators have identified the male driving the Tesla and are looking for information on his whereabouts.

Yaseen WAGGAN, age 23 from Ajax is wanted for: Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Failing to Comply with Release Orderx2, Fail to Identify Self to Officer, and Fail to Remain.

Police Still Searching for Missing 14-year-old Male from Clarington

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 14-year-old year-old male who is still missing from Courtice.

Cairo, age 14, was last seen on September 21, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., in the area of Nash Road and Old Varcoe Road. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Cairo is described as: male, Black with a light complexion. He is 14-years-old, 5’8 with a slim build black hair in french braids. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, glasses, grey ski mask, black Nike tracksuit, black Air Jordan shoes and could be carrying a lime green backpack.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Another company in Ontario has been affected by our Governments inability to get a deal done with the U.S.

It’s been reported that Novelis who makes cold rolled aluminum just had to lay off a third of their employees on Friday sighting tariffs as the reason.
80 Canadians lost their jobs on Friday and the same plant had to lay off 21 people a year ago.

As each day goes by and we watch Carney make his speeches and share his photo-ops, Canadians are losing their livelihoods.
It should be priority number one to get back to the negotiating table with our largest trading partner, not hang out with Macron on an island.
