@MartinSLewis just had a call from #sykescottages to say our holiday home owners of our cancelled holiday said we can’t have a refund. Sykes are forwarding us their details ( which theyd already sent us by accident) to take them to court. Is this right? All HO beware.
@GordonDow1@AbbieCadabra@MartinSLewis@deandunham Sykes are saying the owners have all the money apart from £59. Owners have told Sykes to tell us they’re in no position to pay it back. Sent the email today advising them we will take it to small claims. Awaiting reply.
@Lottie46@sykescottages Sykes just been in touch to say HO won’t refund money. They’re forwarding all their details to us ( which we already have) and we can start legal proceedings with them.
@sykescottages Thanks for the email saying you’ll contact homeowner for them to consider us a refund. Due to your lack of data protection we could do that ourselves since you accidentally sent us their names address & phone number.
@Lottie46@sykescottages We haven’t contacted the homeowner because I think they’re as much a victim of Sykes as us. I would be horrified if my personal details had been given to someone who ultimately may have grievances with me. But to also make out it’s up2 HO to decide about refund? So much wrong.
@sykescottages Still no contact from you. I’ve DM ref number and contact email. Will give it 24 hours then contact homeowners. Sure they will be really pleased with your data protection abilities.
@sykescottages Sykes cottages are a joke. We’ve sent numerous emails asking for refund and 4 weeks after we should have been on the holiday they’ve finally replied. With an email intended for the owners of the house we were supposed to go to!
@MoneySavingExp Does sykescottages finally replying to your emails after four weeks with an email intended for the owners of the house you was meant to go to cut it?
