When I first learned about the possibility of doing SAXS coupled to a SEC column in the @EMBO course from Chile 2019 I remember I thought "This is what we need to experimentally complete the model of PDK1 full length". This week that experiment became the cover of @scisignal

es increíble cómo la necesidad de creer en un líder infalible llevó a muchos a convencerse de que el cryptogate era un hack. no podían aceptar la realidad porque significaba admitir que habían puesto su fe en algo que no era lo que imaginaban.

este episodio debería ser un llamado de atención para entender cómo el fanatismo puede nublar el juicio hasta el punto de negar lo evidente. en lugar de proteger una idea a toda costa, hay que preguntarse:

¿estamos defendiendo la verdad o solo lo que queremos que sea verdad?

POR QUÉ BITCOIN Y NO MEMES.

el estado argentino 🇦🇷 tuvo la oportunidad histórica de adoptar bitcoin como reserva estratégica en 2014, cuando valía 600 dólares y lo recomendé públicamente. en 2023, lo volví a proponer cuando estaba en 25 mil dólares. hoy vale casi 100 mil. si el país hubiese seguido ese camino, hoy tendría un activo sólido, descentralizado y con enorme apreciación, que incluso podría minarse con la infraestructura pública de vaca muerta o ypf, sin comprometer fondos clave. hubiésemos ganado todos los argentinos tanto financieramente como en soberanía política.

pero en lugar de eso, el gobierno elige lanzar una memecoin en solana, un entorno que funciona como un casino digital, sin descentralización real, pura especulación y sin ningún tipo de respaldo genuino. peor aún, asignando el 70% de la moneda a título personal, sin ética ni transparencia. sin auditorías independientes y sin consultar a los mayores expertos del mundos que son precisamente argentinos.

el salvador 🇸🇻 por ejemplo entendió lo que era adoptar una política cripto seria: implementaron bitcoin, un activo con credibilidad neutral, independiente de cualquier actor geopolítico, con barreras termodinámicas que lo protegen de manipulaciones de mercado y con la liquidez más alta del ecosistema. esa es la única estrategia legítima para que un estado fortalezca sus finanzas con cripto.

si milei y su hermana hubiesen tenido asesoramiento real sobre cripto sin rodearse de chantas, jamás habría cometido este papelón internacional mayúsculo. pero se rodea de obsecuentes que le dicen todo que sí y no se atreven a ofrecerle pensamiento crítico. el resultado: un escándalo que va en contra de todo lo que él mismo dice representar.
