The APPG on Investment Fraud and Fairer Financial Services invites you to register your interest for a complimentary place at a special event in Parliament on the vital role whistleblowers play in society, and the need to protect them from retaliation.
The summit is dedicated to the memory of whistleblower Simon Andriesz, who took his own life after reporting retaliation by his former employer. His case featured on BBC File on 4 Investigates.

Simon had pleaded with the FCA for help, explaining that he and his family “were in crisis.”

His death has led whistleblowers around the world to unite in condemning the regulator. As far as we know, this is the first time whistleblowers worldwide have spoken out together on behalf of a fellow whistleblower.

Baroness Kramer has also spoken about Simon’s death in the Lords, and the case has received widespread media coverage.

As far as we know this is the first time whistleblowers around the world have spoken out together on behalf of a fellow whistleblower who has fallen.

They are speaking out against @TheFCA's decision to not move forward with a proper independent 3rd party investigation into their handling of the whistleblowing of Simon Andriesz R.I.P., and a wider systemic review of how they have dealt with other whistleblowers.

Instead, @TheFCA just wants to do a narrow, ‘mark their own homework’ exercise, which has caused outrage in some quarters.

When I told my GP that I had been sexually harassed for more than 3 years at work, and then my colleague forced himself on me. I was crying and asked to be STI tested. She wrote in my medical notes that I'd had sex and regretted it in a moment of alcohol and weakness. I WAS SOBER

I told my male doctor the pain during sex had gotten so bad I was avoiding intimacy. He told me to “relax more” and that most women just need to “get out of their heads.” I asked if he’d ever told a male patient with erectile dysfunction to just relax and stop overthinking. He looked at his chart. I got a new doctor the next week. Turns out I had a condition that required actual treatment.
