@devahaz@levelsio Towns end is great. New spot on Polk is basically the same (same owners and menu iirc) if that’s a more convenient location. Get the warriors breakfast!
@octal@Avis I had this happen with Hertz in NY before - no picture, claimed they called but no response, then letter after months. Filed complaint with NYS AG. Unfortunate bc my experience has generally been fine with Hertz. Curious what the incentive is for the employee who does this
Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
@BIMBOSATTVA_@LinkofSunshine@Duderichy Yep, and there’s also a strain of contrarianism ie being willing to do something low status. So to first order the path being conventionally prestigious is a negative signal for agency
@NukeBushwick@Romy_Holland@Duderichy Agency here is in opposition to legibility. That’s the difference in definition. It’s a different axis than accomplished/driven/successful, etc.
The end result being “prestigious” is itself an indicator of low agency vs a more illegible, low status path

@ejames_c@intellectronica My hunch is that for someone familiar with reddit that might be part of the intuition? As a way to compress the kinds of expertise an LLM might give good answers for.
@ejames_c@intellectronica Of course this is still anthropomorphic in a sense, but “reddit” might be sufficient abstract?
I’m curious how much of an intuition for the mechanistic internals is necessary for vaccination vs a more direct heuristic for “what should/shouldn’t I ask”.
@ejames_c@intellectronica The “human data labeler” part makes me wonder if an analogy like “you’re asking reddit” would be an effective mental model for expectations/failure modes.
So “top 10 sights in Amsterdam” might be OK, or even a programming question, but “how to run the government” is not.
@WhatsupFranks@PalmerLuckey@iamcookbook@PriyamvadaGopal This seems like a hallucination. Hira was on a B-1 business visa, not a B-2 tourist visa, and the case was about what constitutes “permissible business visitor activities”
