I add spice to your life and at the same time pain. Writers, poets, song writers...as long as you exist in my life, you WILL write about me.
I promise you!
1. All pussy is paid for
The notion of “looking for the right girl for long term” is not entirely rejected by me
I have been in lots of relationships
If I continue to enjoy someones company then I will hopefully continue to see them and this is a relationship
But the notion that this must be a contractual agreement which involves the state, my assets, and my full commitment through all potential scenarios and changes over time is ridiculous and unnecessary to me
I try not to make decisions that my future higher self may find to be a constraint on growth and self development, that guy in the future knows more than me and I trust him to have the greatest possible amount of agency
So the agreement of marriage is future self sabotage
I don’t reject being with the same person for a long time I reject everything it implies from a societal perspective
And in lots of cases, and places, a legal perspective
Everything outside of the moments of company we share is what I reject
Any additional agreements made by me and a significant other are purely out of present love and support not out of obligation or expectation and these agreements are usually never made with something left to honor or continue after the initial show of affection is made
I can’t know that my partner is going to grow and change into someone that I want to spend the rest of my tiny sliver of human consciousness with. Because I am a variable for change as well, the odds we both grow over years and still think we are optimal for each others daily lives is highly unlikely
there’s no one telling you that it’s sign the agreement or never see the person
You don’t have to speak for your future self prematurely
And there’s literally not a single benefit to you or the spouse
So just don’t
The subject gets forced in relationships which lack trust or include massive insecurities
Marriage is a tool to ease uncertainties of faithfulness, resources, etc
For example : You may want your girlfriend to give up her career and focus on family at home, half the reason is probably because she gets lots of male attention from coworkers (you are insecure abt this naturally) and half is because you actually want kids with her (she is less likely to leave you if you have kids as soon as possible.. an insecurity) , but this is risky for her to do because she would need to fully trust you as a breadwinner, roommate, and father, if you give up on any of these she is left in a vulnerable position and will have to restart, with baggage. So she starts talking about engagement. This conversation is only brought into this picture because it at least hypothetically deposits security so a further arrangement can be achieved that you think limits your own feelings of insecurity, and for this you traded her your promise you will not leave after she becomes fully reliant on you
In this example and in most real life relationships I’ve observed marriage is used simply as a means to get what you need in terms of emotional stability in order to get what you actually want
It is a prerequisite to a couples non existent purely mythical becoming of one, only required because one’s own fear of vulnerability
1+1=2 and 2 can always be halved
I choose not to ignore the simple reality that 2 cannot exist as 1. A true symbiotic relationship can be observed in nature but this symbiosis is not fixed or forever. And its existence is due to necessary reciprocal value not due to pure willpower and commitment or desire for selflessness.
A joining of two things is at the absolute sacrifice of the two things existence and the birth of something brand new.
This is not how humans love
Our love is a reflection of who we are, we are too aware of our own needs and wants to ever consciously sacrifice our lives entirely and completely, outside of dire circumstance, to create something novel
So basically Alex Karp’s argument is that frontier AI labs profit three times: (1) they charge you for tokens, (2) they get access to your IP and business know-how, and (3) they eventually commoditize your competitive advantage. Instead, he says enterprises should pay Palantir to deploy open models and keep their own alpha
LOL I did not expect him to suddenly become an ally for open source even though it is of course very self-interested
Yes, wealth is luck, the wealthy have created so many paths that one led to wealth by luck.
Consider they died before they did...
Weather changed on a day a client was available...
Stopped to breathe and missed an accident by an inch...
There are too many factors to consider.
If each state employs 20,000 state police officers
This is the salary bill in year
Only salaries
If we peg salary at a flat rate of 90,000
Monthly cost per state: 90,000 × 20,000 officers = 1.8 billion
Monthly cost for all 36 states: 1.8 billion × 36 states = 64.8 billion
Total annual cost: 64.8 billion × 12 months = 777.6 billion
This is minus running cost and other sundry costs
