I wish men would ask themselves: how would you want others to treat your sister or your daughter? It is time we must dismantle the harmful social norms surrounding #menstruation and replace them with dignity and understanding.
It is deeply concerning that some individuals treat #menstruation as something dirty.Menstruation is a natural, biological process, it is the essence of life. When you encounter someone facing stigma or hardship due to this, I urge you to lead with compassion rather than judgment
Happy Women’s Day!
“I urge you to carve your character carefully, define your boundaries, advocate for yourselves and other women and girls, and protect your physical and mental health. And please, love yourself with the same gentleness you give others – the same gentleness you wish and deserve to experience from the world.” - First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame
#IWD2026
Rwanda celebrates International Women’s Day, reflecting on the important role of women in national development, and reaffirming the country’s commitment to advancing gender equality.
When women are empowered, the nation grows stronger.
“Empowered Women, Stronger Nation.”
#IWD26
As we celebrate #IWD it is important to reassess the socio-cultural bottlenecks that hinder women's progress. 'Umugore n'uwagaciro' is neither a slogan nor a trend, it is a reminder that a woman’s worth is defined by her contributions to the development, not social expectations.
#ABHSummit2025
Invite me to the rooms that #ignite meaningful conversations where positive yet educative criticism is central to the strategy, transformative sessions are intense, inspirational talks are contagious, and everyone in the room feels seen, valued, and supported!
Today, Minister of State @XandrineUmutoni officially opened the induction programme of the inaugural Youth Advisory Council of @YouthConnektAf, established to ensure that YouthConnekt Africa remains youth-driven and youth-focused.
This week, accounts of horrific violence in #ElFasher, Sudan describe devastating scenes— neighborhoods destroyed, hospitals looted & the mass killing of civilians.
We are getting to work, rapidly mobilizing to support emerging and ongoing needs.
