@SadlyItsBradley I predict you'll take a break when it releases, only to return as our beloved copium dad in the not too distant future for the next big device in AR/VR
@SaveStandard Most important is that we stop changing clocks twice per year as soon as possible. The Sunshine Protection Act (permanent DST) is already so far long, and this quarreling about which time is better just adds fuel to a pointless argument / delay in locking the clock.
@SaveStandard It's more depressing to get out of work when it's already dark (most of us work past 6). Also, the Sunshine Protection Act is already so far along and this simply introduces more delay with a "which-time-is-better" argument. Support Sunshine Protection Act (permanent DST)
@SadlyItsBradley hopefully polycam can get approved for cam access. realtime AR 3D lidar scanner with stereoscopic texturing powers would be a killer app
@XiexeVR @darkswordsmantv @Lunayian@damsel_deere I'll give you that it's hard to justify the price unless you use it for work in some fashion. there is indeed a large gap between the kinds of things you can do with quest 3 vs avp. however if steam link for xrOS pops up in the app store, the lines will start to blur.
@XiexeVR @darkswordsmantv @Lunayian@damsel_deere also I was immediately able to use discord and signal (iPad versions) which is nice for staying connected to socials natively. the access to iPad apps so far has been pretty great, only mild jank sometimes when buttons are close to the edges of a window (for iPad apps)
@XiexeVR @darkswordsmantv @Lunayian@damsel_deere there is a BouncyBall app (more like a demo) that scans the 3D space around you and lets you throw around a bouncy ball (it reacts to your surroundings). anyway there are colliders on the hands so I think there is AR hand tracking of some kind
