@pravithnair @blrmetrotracker @OfficialBMRCL Daily user of metro here and I am forced to board from either Huskur Road or Bommasandra, despite living directly opposite Hebbagodi metro station. The subway adds about 800m of walk for me and is flooded with sewage/dirty water even when it doesn’t rain.

I filed an RTI with @OfficialBMRCL asking why no Foot Over Bridge (FOB) was provided at #Biocon Hebbagodi Metro Station on the Yellow Line.

The reply (attached) unfortunately sidesteps some key issues. 🧵👇
BMRCL states that since an underpass exists ~250 m away, an FOB was not provided.
This logic is flawed.

1️⃣ Accessibility & effort
An FOB usually gives direct concourse access.
An underpass forces commuters to climb down and then up again, adding extra effort—especially for the elderly, children, and daily commuters.

2️⃣ No elevator + monsoon flooding
The underpass does not have an elevator, making it inaccessible for wheelchair users, and senior citizens
Further, during the monsoon, the underpass frequently floods, rendering it unsafe and sometimes completely unusable.

3️⃣ Inconsistent application of logic
If the presence of an underpass was sufficient reason to skip an FOB, the same logic should apply to Huskur Road station, which has an underpass ~200 m away—yet it does have an FOB.

This raises an obvious question: why the exception here?

Was a foot over bridge really too expensive to provide here?
Notably, this is the only station on the entire Yellow Line without an FOB to access the opposite side of the highway.

@vrraghy Don’t do that. You’ll be seriously limiting your options and you won’t get a discount for not buying an OS. Buy a windows laptop, dual boot it and set the priority for the Linux distro so that it logs onto it by default

Feels like with Grok-4 topping all the benchmarks, other labs now have to match or beat it with their next models or risk delaying releases until they can.
