@lockout2027 this is fun as hell and probably a good representation of what the process will be like, except it will be much more hostile and after playing this I’m almost fully convinced that 2027 will be locked out mostly or completely

@Anfraknee@rossjensen Username checks out. This was a bug. Thanks for the screenshot... it's fixed now. 95% of players choose to end blackouts. The other 5% desperately needed to win back owner support

@Anfraknee 17% chose this option!! Surprised it's not higher tbh. (77% chose to phase out black-outs over 3 years.) Thanks for the screenshot, we'll look into this bug
This is *exceptional*. I truly enjoyed this!
My own idea that I think has mutual merit…
If a pre-FA player performs well enough in a prior season, under, a benchmark like bWAR, elevated to a player class with more direct pay but doesn’t count against a team’s spending limits.
@johnbarker@LanceMcAlister OK, that's fair. cc @JeffPassan: "The first lesson of any collective bargaining negotiation: The details are everything."
Still a bummer seeing 70% of fans side with owners. $245 cap won't deliver parity, and would hurt players. @jakeures said it best:

The MLB’s contract negotiation is an important refresher that if your conception of class isn’t based on your relationship to capital then you can easily be steered into believing idiotic things based purely on media and/or personal grievances.
@JeffPassan "So, is Manfred wrong? No. Is it the entire story? No. And that is the first lesson of any collective bargaining negotiation: The details are everything." 💯
@AEM366 You said real, not US. All 3 of those leagues have no hard cap, parity, billions in revenue, growing annually.
A sport can succeed with no cap. NFL, NBA, NHL have caps because those owners broke those unions, and it solved some problems but also created others (esp for players)
