One of my favorite skill acquisition/motor learning figures from this past year 👇🏼
I think it does a great job highlighting two main points:
1️⃣ A high level of difficulty is critical for development
@Physical_Prep That’s been a favorite of mine for several years. They build upon the original challenge point framework very well. Certainly within my top 5!
One of the most thought provoking conversations I’ve had within the world of coaching and skill acquisition.
Thanks to @JobFran3 for sharing his knowledge and insights - it was an eye opener.

Is air travel getting more dangerous? Are plane crashes happening more frequently? Social media might make you think so (it fooled me), but the data tells a different story.
How we feel about a design is often a poor predictor of how well we’ll actually perform when using it
I explore this in both user interfaces and learning environments

@timbubar How hot is it in phoenix? Hot enough that my thermometer looks like this. It’s a rather cool day today too (high of 106). This was without a windshield sun shade. Data collection is still in progress
@timbubar I love this. Of course you’re tracking. I’m stealing this. I’m fairly certain my black vehicle in Phoenix is reaching 130s but haven’t measured. I’m also curious just *how* much windshield shades really work
Will report back
