@ATCarrMath@miniapeur My high school physics teacher always threw in at least one silly conversion problem on tests. Furlongs per fortnight is a memorable one.
Today, @IJ filed a cert petition asking #SCOTUS to hear our First Amendment case challenging Mississippi's near total ban on advertising medical marijuana.
If a product is legal, it should be legal to talk about that product.

There’s absolutely nothing interesting about a Yale Law grad at a prestigious law firm married to a Stanford MBA management consultant moving to DC in 1995 and 30 years later living in a house now worth $2.4M

@Tyler_A_Harper@jasonwblakely A shift people are still pretending didn't happen!
That's the truly amazing part -- a total unwillingness to look reality in the eye and pause, if only for a moment, to consider how we got here.
@charlescwcooke@JonahDispatch@kyrstensinema The political geniuses who thought "why would Dems want a Senate seat on WV?" are playing their own 6D chess.
You make your coalition bigger by chasing off your moderate members, you see.
@hhp_9x You're assuming things not in evidence.
When someone is punching themselves in the dick I don't feel obligated to give them bonus points when they stop.
None of this was pressing, and none of it needed to happen on Twitter.
In my initial run, which processed the first 60,000 rows, I did not find these awards—my hard drive overheated long before I could complete a full pass through the database. In a later run, which I referenced in another post, I did identify two such awards. That discrepancy is a matter of sampling size, not an issue with the query itself.
I’ll now attempt a full run, which should capture the awards you found.
@RexDouglass You'd expect people from the biggest states would have the most invested in Federalism, but it's the opposite! CA / FL / NY / TX have the most to lose in our current system and instead of working to disarm they're in the lab developing new weapons.
It's incredible.
@laura11D It would be even better if the US had the *more effective* sunscreens available in the EU. I'm no fan of the EU's regulatory hellscape, but even they've managed to get this right.
Wear a hat and sunscreen you fools!
@hhp_9x Use the cloud, because it's 2025? If that's a problem / you need to be air gapped, don't do it while traveling.
This can't both be **so critical** it needs to be done while traveling, but also not at all critical such that you can willy nilly crap out a result that's wrong.
