A video of a government official (meitei) who went to survey in order to build water reservoir for a remote kuki village witnessed large deforestation and poppy plantation in the village. Also, new houses were seen popping up which isn’t related to the village. Villagers also agreed that those are illegal migrants not related to them. The disappointed govt official told the kuki villagers not to cut trees, not to encroach land and not to plant poppy otherwise he’ll not built water reservoir.

1) The narcotics trade in Manipur has an estimated worth of Rs. 70000 crores. A large section of this narcotics business is controlled by local terr0rist groups.

2) Entire generations have been lost due to "gallery shooting" during 1990-2010. It is very difficult to procure syringes here and it was common for 8-10 addicts to share the same syringe.

3) The HIV rate here is 32 times higher than the national average.

4) Backing of the local terr0rist groups in places like the Kuki-dominated ChuraChandpur have emboldened the addicts, who take drugs in the open. They threaten to kill people who rebuke them.

4) 85% of the poppy cultivation happens in Kuki-dominated areas. This drug money has kept the fire of violence burning.

The Manipuris are fighting for their survival. Let us all help them.

BIG BREAKING: Maya (@GermanKukiChanu) claims the two Meitei teens of having been "apprehended and killed by the (Kuki) volunteers" after which their phone were "disposed off at Senapati". The next speaker says those teens had come to attend a wedding.
