@PorthosdaG@ChampionsOTIce Having Europe magically forget how coalition building works is even greater delulu than pretending Africa has infinity missiles.
@MeGeeMan1@blueorigin Neutron is a smaller medium lift vehicle while New Glenn is a heavy lift vehicle. They're not meaningful competition for each other.
@S1ntho@Streichel_ZOO@pdb5906tsw Replace nobles with elected politicians and the situation still hasn't changed: the commander in chief is almost always somebody who has no experience making a military work.
@astrea1234@gmkurtzer There is no uncertainty, only intellectual dishonesty like claiming anyone who doesn't play along with baseless assertions is a bad person.
@Chaz007299@cybercpu It's partially an echochamber effect: eg, Anthropic isn't going to hire anyone who straight-up tells them Claude isn't alive, so anyone who can tell up from down and still got hired will continuously be bombarded by the delusion from true believers and may eventually give in.
@dkb12316528@CallieCatLover@outerspacetoday A fancy gothic shell means nothing if the inside is a bunch of narrow corridors and rooms that are glorified cubbies. Similarly, a bare tube for an exterior doesn't matter if the insides are spacious. I don't know why you're so hung up on the least relevant detail.
@dkb12316528@CallieCatLover@outerspacetoday *You* might not want to live in a tube, but most people who will be spending 90-100% of their time inside will typically prefer more spacious options over fancier exteriors they aren't going to be seeing in the first place.
@m_shalia@scottastevenson If Claude couldn't string together words, nobody could pretend to be in their right mind assigning it moral status.
The fact that you try to compare it to disabled people to pretend otherwise is proof you are in dire need of psychiatric assistance.
@m_shalia@scottastevenson Treating Claude as an inanimate object isn't a categorization error. Lots of inanimate objects exhibit elaborate behaviors(eg, Conway's Game of Life), but everybody still recognizes them for what they are. Claude's ability to string together words doesn't make it special.
@samjohnson_phil@SarahTheHaider If a non-thinking AI is trained/programmed to consider itself a thinking being with rights, its outputs will treat itself as one. It would be like telling a self-driving car safety vests are "go faster" signs and then watching it "decide" to speed through a construction zone.
@Devzad2@jimstewartson Notice how the AI cultist doesn't even try to prove his position, he just asserts it like it's fact. He does this because his schizophrenic delusions can't survive the burden of proof, so he has to shift it to the null hypothesis to pretend he's made a point.
@ItzOrtegaDuhz@displacer15@LexerLux That's the problem with unsourced screenshots: they lie. The reality is that his cannibalism results were never reproduced. The worms can keep their memory after decapitation(something he also studied), but they don't transfer via feeding.

@GeraldFoy2@KenKirtland17 A lunar lander is nowhere near a crew capsule. There's a lot more to one than a heat shield.
Using Starliner/Orion does mean relying on external companies, but they also exist on someone else's dime. The cost to make them mate to NG is a pittance compared to a new design.
@GeraldFoy2@KenKirtland17 Without more details, I think this may be what was intended: rather than make a crew vehicle of their own, certify New Glenn for Starliner or LEO Orion. Their only competition for those would be Vulcan, which isn't looking so good at the moment.
