For the performative task, I turned to online shopping verbally by combining last semester's topic. Although my learner is still kind of shaky with her word choices, she has become much more confident using her phone from daily use. @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

This week, I taught my learner the different types of contractions by identifying the word's full form. While doing some research, I found out that many other languages (~14) also had them (which was an interesting fact for both my learner and I). @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

After discussing what our first lesson should be, we plan on focusing on creating sentences with past tense. Then if we have time, we'll focus on the more common irregular verbs (like ate).

During the weekend I taught my learner about playing and the settings of YouTube videos. Some things we went over were captions, pop-up player, speed settings, 360, video controls, casting, etc. We then binged on cute animal videos 😅😅 @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

@mwaseem48 @YEPeducation It was a lot harder than I realized since I don't usually think about how I speak, I just y'know, speak. The structure wasn't as simple as just tacking two words together 😓

This week I gave my learner the self evaluation I created. I tried my best translating it and hopefully incorporate some of the responses for the next lesson. @YEPeducation #letsteachadults
