i doubt redesigning has improved the original!
having worked in Wrightington numerous such x rays were documented 3 decades ago!

@traumaticum Index surgeon forgot the cardinal principle, Accurate Reduction first, wires optional!
This young patient could have well been treated by accurate hairline reduction and cast!

Very high steroids especially in diabetics is the cause of your dreaded black fungus which is not a new disease!
Piroxicam cuboidals (any indian brand) (Dont use dolonex) will rapidly control cytokine storm and increase saturation! Reduce steroid dose
