Archimedes second stage engine full duration burn - complete ✅ (and what a thing of beauty).
The AVac (Archimedes Vacuum) engine produces 1.2x lbf of its Stage 1 variant and stands ~2.5m taller thanks to its extended nozzle optimized for the vacuum conditions of space.
Recent AVac testing included a stub skirt for the nozzle. Since full length vacuum nozzles at ground level risk flow separation and instability, stub skirts are used to anchor our engineers' analysis for how the engine will perform with the full nozzle in vacuum conditions - all critical preparation for Neutron's first flight.

Our thrusters team just wrapped another successful hotfire test campaign for BT-7, a fully Blue Origin-developed thruster, from valves to thrust chamber, capable of pulsed and long-duration operation for vehicle attitude control and orbital maneuvering. These latest tests advanced performance across 80lbf & 120lbf configurations, as BT-7 matures into our first in-house hypergolic bipropellant thruster, with applications on the Artemis III mission and future lunar vehicles.

Imagine being on a spacewalk experiencing this.
The upper tendrils of Earth's aurora reach high enough that we fly right through them. I felt so small, floating between our planet & the universe, surrounded by this, as we start to permanently leave home.
