People ask us why Figure is moving so fast
We didn't chase perfection on v1. We're iterating toward perfection across generations of robots
You will see perfection in F.04
The cost of intelligence is going to zero. The value of human cognition will go negative. The economy will change forever.
We need new institutions to navigate this transition and ensure the benefits are widely distributed.
Today we present the Champion.
Truly Sovereign AI.
The only solution is monitoring agents.
Emad is 100% correct here.
Human in the loop is a delusional path forward.
We actually designed for this in my ACE Framework, where you have out-of-band watchers that nix agents who misbehave and delete aberrant thoughts.
The rest of the world will catch up eventually.
I'm so excited that our @theworldlabs team has achieved a major milestone today! Introducing Atlas - a first of its kind multimodal world model trained from scratch! 🚀
Atlas is capable of generating frames with pixel-perfect camera control, reconstructing large scenes from as few as one single input image, simulating space-time by reframing videos, natively outputting 3D spaces from one or more input images, composing multiple posed images into a consistent 3d world, and more! This is the best camera conditioned world model ever, opening doors to many possible use cases from VFX to robotics. I'm so so so proud of our team!♥️
By positioning multiple input views within the model's spatial context, Atlas allows you to generate image and video frames with precise control.
Here, we hand-designed a camera trajectory to generate a 1 minute video at 1440p resolution from seven reference images.
Introducing Atlas:
The world's first multimodal world model that generates image and video frames with pixel-perfect camera control and reconstructs them in 3D.
Model the world, move the camera, and simulate space & time.
"Warns" is a strange way to frame this.
We are literally watching the fully automated future being built.
I hate how American academia frames civilizational scale progress as a threat.
So fucking stupid.
We keep imagining AI agents as little assistants working for humans.
Anthropic is openly studying a future where some institutions become entirely agent-only because humans simply can’t compete on speed or cost.
That is a much stranger future.
Google establishes a subsidiary in Spain for Waymo, its autonomous car business
Testing of this technology is expected to begin in Madrid before the end of the year, with Uber's project being the only confirmed one to date

This is why economists were dead wrong about AI.
Since they aren't technologists, they didn't accurately price generative AI. They looked at it and saw a chatbot.
They had no idea how this technology can scale.
There are still economists who don't believe that generative AI is a General Purpose Technology.
This is one of the biggest reasons that the future is mispriced by the establishment.
The weirdest thing about ASI won’t be how futuristic life feels.
It’ll be how quickly all of this becomes completely normal.
What part of this future excites you most?
OpenAI officially expects AGI by end of *this* year (2026)
"Altman told me that OpenAI was “not quite yet” there, but that by the end of the year the company would have an internal system he would call AGI."
We did it friends.
And: OpenAI has already internally built autonomous AI researchersbased on its benchmarks. It's the well-known GPT Astra.
"Pachocki says the company has already met its internal benchmark for an automated AI research intern. Given an experimental idea, he says, Astra can implement it inside OpenAI’s code base, run the experiment, and return results, or take a paper and perform work that previously occupied a human researcher for a week."
Astra will have the biggest impact on knowledgework there is
"Astra would enable “persistent agents,” he explained—virtual colleagues toiling for sustained periods on tasks. But its biggest impact, he predicted, would come from people using it to discover new knowledge. “I expect this will be the first model where the model actually invents new things in a way that matters,” Altman told the group. “That’s a very AGI-like thing.”
We did it friends. The finishing line is within sight. This year will be the turning point. Forever.
I am so damn hyped.
This feels like a real inflection point.
• OpenAI says internal AGI could happen by the end of 2026
• Astra is already running experiments and doing research
• Persistent AI agents are apparently close
• Altman thinks it could start discovering genuinely new knowledge
AI doing science is a much bigger deal than AI getting better at chat.
OpenAI reportedly just finished “Bel,” a 10T+ parameter model that could underpin a post-GPT-6 system.
The pace is getting ridiculous. We’ve officially entered recursive self-improvement territory.
The singularity has started.
Vision tells a robot where the object is. Touch tells it what happened when the robot actually interacted with it.
The move toward tactile sensing feels less like adding another sensor and more like closing a missing part of the control loop.
If vision gets the robot to the object, touch may be what gets it through the last millimeter.
