TENDON STIFFNESS
Conundrum: + tendon stiffness is an adaptive response to:
- Long term strength training
- Ageing
- Disuse/unloading
Solution: There is more to improving tendon function than stiffness vs compliance!

Using the same data but split into bins from speed "fast", "medium", "slow". Classify speed bin from CMJ and DJ height as well as relative squat. Helps provide objective numbers for player goals in speed positions. (numbers different in squat/jump as not all squatted)
Have often wondered how the work of @ProfJillCook and @hazelscreen would compliment one another.
Not sure how I missed this one, but a terrific paper for anyone wanting to understand #tendinopathy.

@AllanMacdonald_ @MuscleScience@Jeukendrup Is there any research demonstrating a decrease in collagen cross-linking with slow velocity muscle contractions? I understand concept, however struggling to find research to confirm?
@GregLehman@TonyBlazevich @das_shield @ryan_timmins@mamoltub May also be worth looking in to some of the work and concepts of @MuscleScience Keith Baar on the effects of contraction types, but more importantly velocity, on viscoelastic structures such as collagen and elastin, and diff between stiffness and compliance.
