@potatoslav@MyKidIsWeird1 My parents have had my sisters kids overnight since they were babies. They had a crib and kids bed on their bedroom for when they stay.
@w0rm_face Yeah I did a weekend at a glamping site with friends. We went to a cottage for another friends and a week in benidorm for another friends. I don't know why people are being so weird about celebrating 30th birthdays.
@Corbienest@dogsnfishing Yes but the tweet you shared was generalising, that's the point I was responding to. Yes not everyone can do overnight, my issue is people who seem completely unwilling to make any effort at all for friends. Or just expect everything to be kid friendly because they have kids.
@akilhenrymusic@TFTP_Tunde Nah she came online looking for people to criticise her friend for having a birthday celebration. She admits she doesn't want to go even if kids are able to go.
@rayengroves@libbby01 I always find this mental. My mum loves having my sisters kids, she goes to help out if my sister is sick. She'll have them any time. I've got a few friends the same and then got some friends who's parents aren't interested at all. It's really sad.
@tonedeafandh0t A couple we are friends we had theirs around 20/21. Another 2 had theirs around 27 and all have always made an effort to keep involved. It is bizarre really isn't it. I think when it's an accident people just get on with it more 😂.
@binkyloveyou@ModernHerm That's a weird way to put it. Making an effort with friends isn't choosing them over your children. It's just making time for people that matter to you.
