@LawrenceShaheen @AmtrakPiedmont @RDUAirport @Amtrak @NCDOT Took me 7 hours on the @AmtrakPiedmont tonight to get from CLT to Raleigh. Engine failure left us stranded outside of Salisbury for 3 hours. Had to get a Norfolk Southern Engine to pull us home slowly.

No departure in sight for @AmtrakPiedmont. Had to shift to a flightand thank god for my wonderful wife for taking me to @RDUAirport. If I was forced to wait for @Amtrak no idea when I would have gotten to CLT. Unfortunate, but predictable useless @NCDOT train experience. #ncpol
