@InibeheEffiong Recently I've been thinking about who controls the elections in Nigeria. From going to Chatham house to get "vetted", to investing in electronic devices that fail on election day. Aren't we the puppets? And how much longer so? With generations living unfulfilled.
A country that dares to call itself the giant of Africa. What a fuck!ng dísgrace!
Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and the ninth-largest internet user base in the world, with 108 million people online.
In just the first six months of 2026, MTN alone raked in nearly 3 trillion naira ($2.993 trillion) from Nigerians. That includes:
- 1.7 trillion naira from data
- 897.1 billion naira from phone calls
- 112.7 billion naira from SMS
Every single day, Nigerians burn through 45,800 terabytes of data. Even if you calculate it at a cheap rate of 200 naira per gigabyte, that is 9.8 billion naira spent every day on internet data alone. And that does not even count the money wasted on calls, texts, or the rest of their bullshit fees.
It is an absolute shâme that a country like Nigeria has no national telecommunications company of its own to keep this money inside the country. Instead, foreign paras!tes like MTN and Airtel are draining billions of naira every single day while Nigerian leaders sit on their ass and do nothing.
Anyone with half a brain can see this is not normal.
@NafdacAgency What else were you expecting? Obi went to court for the sake of exposing the corruption rotting all arms of the government; and he succeeded. Did you think this one would differ from the others? Placing an iota of trust in this government is extremely risky.
Why exactly should a Christian have to be sentenced to death for defending oneself or their community against terrorists?
Victor Solomon, who is popularly known as Zidane, was arrested by the Elrufai led government in 2018 for defending his Adara community against Fulani terrorists attacks.
Dear @RepRileyMoore@RepNancyMace,
kindly lend your voice for the release of this young man who has been in detention since then.
