@ElieNYC The problem is that each state, and often each county in that state, handles their election documents and procedures differently.
Knowing how your state does things is helpful. https://t.co/21h6gX8ok6 is a great resource for finding state level (and from there local) information
@zephyrsky Some people have commutes. Others have to feign interest while little Johnny plays soccer. But yeah, I have a trove of "you gotta check out this podcast" bookmarks. Sigh.
@zephyrsky Probably has to do with the age of the rock under us here in the mid-Atlantic. My understanding is the soil is much newer and looser along the Pacific edges. Makes sense since the Appalachians are so much older than the western mountains like the Rockies.
@zephyrsky So, hear me out, perhaps taking the highest bid isn't always the best idea. Maybe doing the absolute minimum in due diligence about the company's past results (see NFL, NBA) would have given you pause.
But some MLB exec needed a gold plated helicopter pad for their autumn home.
@zephyrsky The only thing I like about it is the LOVE on the sleeve. But I am a real fan of that image. The colors are dumb....looks like Miami or Seattle. The font is horrible...like something from a middle schooler's notebook in 1985. Ring the bell on the hat is too inside joke.
It’s pretty dangerous how stupid this guy is. Thousands of people protested after the TN shootings and legislators were kicked out by the GOP for supporting it.
@yaneerbaryam I've been WFH 3 days a week since 2001. Since 2006 that's been full time. This has been doable for over two decades. It just took visionary managers to understand it. People who can manage without staring over shoulders and treat people like the adults we are.
If public schools are underfunded and circumscribed by political agitation such that fail to educate children, and guns are so ubiquitous that children are routinely massacred there, more and more women and kids will be forced to stay home—where men can control them more easily.
If you've never seen someone attempt to use music theory to explain how syncopation leaves you vulnerable to demonic possession, you're in for a real treat:
Republicans are vowing that if Trump's tax returns are released to the public, they'll release the tax returns of every Democratic President from now until eternity.
Also, we love Christmas stuff. Such as the gingerbread houses of Pittsburgh. Our Pam Panchak, Helen Fallon and @solygus give a sweet peek of the delights you can see at the City-County Bldg. thru Jan. 6: https://t.co/oD91xbpa6R
Trains once staffed with five workers are now staffed by two. Conductors and engineers can be on call for 14 consecutive days and do not receive a single sick day. Once again, workers deemed essential are treated like anything but by uber-profitable corporations—and now Congress.
Senators work less than 140 days a year, have unlimited sick days, don’t have to show up in person to vote, and are paid $180K/year in taxpayer-funded salaries that they collect even during recesses. Imagine having this “job” and denying 1 week of paid sick leave for rail workers
