@upliftandlift@ldsfilmguy In a recent episode with Bart Erman, Dehlin simply introduced himself as a Mormon. Not an ex-Mormon, not an excommunicated Mormon, or even a non-practicing Mormon. He simply said he was a Mormon, then moved on.
@_cbish@TresClare I disagree. Do spend hours preparing (which includes narrowing the lesson down to two core principles) then let the Spirit take you in whatever direction it goes.
I like both of you guys, but those were just recycled (and some have been long ago debunked) anti-LDS talking points that were wholly expected.
Iโm not saying everything about the Restored Gospel is 100% coherent and defensible, but you really gotta get an LDS apologist or theologian on next time.
@jaredadairbell I don't know why an LDS would *first* jump to the conclusion that the flood is non-historical before they decided that it was probably a localized flood.

If you admit there are things that God can't do (like create a square circle or make 1+1=3), then you're admitting to laws that exist outside of God.
