@PreetamJinka Storing the time series datapoints is not the main challenge. The tough part is time series metadata (dimensions/tags, custom attributes) . Making the metadata queryable at large scale and in real time isn't easy. If your metadata model allows for mutations, it's even harder !

Rewrote a b64 string <-> long conversion over the wknd and got rid of guava's b64 refs. Throughput went up ~6x. Loved the #jmh benchmarking.
