#WATCH | Dhaula Kuan BMW accident | Delhi | Son of the deceased, Navnoor Singh says, "I had just come from a friend's house when I got a message from my mother that she was going to Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, but she did not pick up my call... I got a call from a family friend who told me about the accident and that my parents are admitted in New Life Hospital in GTB Nagar... The accident happened around 1 or 1:30 pm, a girl driving a BMW hit my parents' motorcycle. There was definitely something wrong, but they were taken to a hospital 20 km away which had no facilities... My father was declared dead in the hospital, but people there said that death instantly after an accident is very rare... There are many superspeciality hospitals near Dhaula Kuan and AIIMS too, if they had been sent there, he could have been saved. Those who were in the car have sustained minor injuries, and in the same hospital, I am not sure if it is from a trusted source. New Life Hospital in GTB Nagar belongs to the girl driving the BMW and her husband was also admitted in the same hospital... My parents were sent to the hospital in a delivery van. When my mother gained consciousness, she was in the passenger seat and looked back to see my father lying down..."

MoD itself has filed ~3,000 appeals, often against AFT orders favoring veterans.
Recently, Delhi HC dismissed ~300 such appeals in one go.

Wrote to Hon’ble PM @narendramodi urging urgent intervention to protect the constitutional & legal rights of the Nicobarese tribes threatened by the ₹72,000-crore Great Nicobar Project.

The Andaman & Nicobar administration wrongly claimed that FRA rights were “settled” & forest clearances were granted for diversion of 13,075 hectares of forest land.

But the Tribal Council of Great Nicobar has categorically rejected this claim.

⚠️ This is a direct violation of the Forest Rights Act, 2006, which mandates that forest diversion can only happen with:
✅ Recognition of FRA rights
✅ Free, prior & informed consent of the affected Gram Sabhas

Neither condition has been met.

Issued “certificate” in August 2022 declaring FRA rights as settled is a serious misrepresentation.
Raises disturbing questions on due process and justice for India’s most vulnerable communities.

The Nicobarese community has been historically protected under PATT 1956. Any attempt to bypass FRA safeguards is an attack on their constitutional rights & cultural survival.

I urged the PM to:
1️⃣ Order an independent review of forest clearance process
2️⃣ Ensure FRA rights are fully recognized before land diversion
3️⃣ Suspend the project till laws are complied with
4️⃣ Hold officials accountable for misrepresentation

The PM has acknowledged receipt of my letter (27 Aug 2025). I hope the Government will act with urgency to safeguard the rights of the Nicobarese & uphold the true spirit of our Constitution.

The strength of our democracy lies in protecting the rights of the weakest. Development cannot come at the cost of justice & tribal survival.

Nicobarese voices must be heard, respected & upheld. ✊🏾
