New Abdul El-Sayed internal poll by Tulchin Research shared with me finds El-Sayed widely ahead.

El-Sayed: 41%
Stevens: 23%
McMorrow: 18%

In terms of the scale of this lead, the poll is an outlier, but directionally, it is in line with other surveys showing El-Sayed surging ever since Third Way made Israel-Palestine a major issue in the race.

Poll finds Stevens edging out McMorrow for second, with the August 4 primary approaching.

Take any individual poll with a grain of salt, particularly an internal, but Tulchin Research is legit and the trend line is consistent.

Poll was commissioned by a newly formed progressive coalition that'll be backing El-Sayed, helmed by Hannah Fertig (Bernie/JD) and Connor Farrell (longtime Michigan operative).

@Ericrse37986 The other poll showing Becerra over Steyer is funded by an anti Steyer PAC. It’s unlikely Becerra is as high as Steyer but he is the biggest beneficiary of Swalwell dropping out

@Hezbolsonaro according to the ipsos poll it appears roberto sanchez did horrible in lima and dominated in the rural areas, similar to Pedro 5 years ago

@ProgDirectorate He benefited from the failure of other Dem campaigns in coalescing support, but it’s puzzling to me how he was polling at like 15% and earned a lot of high profile Dem endorsements. I do think steyer could have eclipsed him without the scandal, but thankfully he’s done now

@Ericrse37986 @StanFdr In IL-08 Junaid Ahmed was both outspent and had other progressives in the primary. He absolutely had the potential to win, but Bangkole and Tully took out shares of his potential vote share and it allowed bean to win. If he had ran more ads he may have won.

@Ericrse37986 @StanFdr More specifically Kat was a carpetbagger which caused local candidates with similar politics like Amiwala and Simmons to stay in the race, even when it became clear they didnt have a chance. However she performed extremely well against Biss, it was just a near miss.
