There is not any viable solution to curbing the injustice being committed against the ethnic Amharas in#Ethiopia other than organizing & mobilizing the Amharas themselves. TPLF, OLF and ANDM are historical enemies that particularly Amharas must continue fighting.
No amount of propaganda or malicious social media attacks on journalist and eye witnesses will bury the truth about Welkait. Those who are banking on the backing of western entities to conceal and bury their genocidal crimes will ultimately fail because the Most High God is a God of Justice and this evil will not prevail. @ShebaPushStart@Joe__Bassey@RepJames@LemkinInstitute@SFRCdems
WELKAIT, ETHIOPIA - APRIL 06, 2022: Cheru Gebremaraim, a former prisoner and survivor of the Dejena Bado Sidist (Zero Six) torture camp, reveals a wound he received while being tortured when he was imprisoned at the Dejena Bado Sidist (Zero Six) torture camp April 06, 2022 in Welkait, Ethiopia. Gebremaraim was imprisoned by the TPLF in 1990 for 6 years and 7 months with 1 year and 7 months of that sentence being served the Dejena Bado Sidist torture camp. The camp contained man-made cells along with multiple caves and natural formations that served as cells where members of the Welkait-Tegede community were imprisoned and murdered because of their ethnicity. The camp began operating in 1990 when the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) occupied Welkait as they fought against the Derg Regime before gaining control of the area in 1991. Welkait was acknowledged as Amhara land for as much as 1000 years prior to 1991 when the region was annexed and incorporated into Tigray by the TPLF. The discovery of multiple mass graves and extermination camps has been taking place since 2021 after the TPLF was pushed out of Welkait. (Photo by J. Countess/Getty Images)
Ethiopia: Merawi Killings Should Be Independently Investigated

Undeterred by the global uproar over the harrowing #MerawiMassacre & calls for an independent investigation, Abiy’s regime has just killed >60 Amhara civilians, including a 40 days baby & entire family, in a drone strike. Images of the victims were so gruesome, X didn’t allow them to be posted. Under Abiy Ahmed’s fascistic rule, over a million Ethiopians were murdered just in 2 years, and counting, millions are displaced and hundreds of thousands languishing in prisons. Over 20 million Ethiopians are facing starvation, as the regime continues using hunger as a weapon of war. This carnage & human tragedy shouldn’t be allowed to continue. @RepJames@USAmbHRC@amnesty@hrw@washingtonpost@steve_hanke@UN_HRC@USAmbUN@BBCAfrica@antonioguterres
I’m reposting an old post from 2021 because I cannot forget her gesture of kindness and hospitality. The reunion I always intended has yet to be realized and I currently don’t know where Zena is. If someone sees this and knows her please update me. I pray she is home and at least not suffering as she was in 2021. I will say again to encourage and remind people of what humanity looks like in the face of extreme duress.
When you have lost virtually everything you own and are living in a foreign place 100’s of kilometers from your home but your first gesture is to share with a stranger. God Bless You Zena Hussein. I wanted to share this image because your sincerity and kindness in the face of such hardship and devastation reveal so much about your character and your soul. And yes your Wat was incredible. God Keep You until you can return to your home in safety.
KOMBOLCHA, ETHIOPIA - OCTOBER 15: Zena Hussein from the Habru Woreda shows a gesture of respect, brotherly love and trust as she offers a sample of her cooking as she prepares food outside of one of the blocks of housing designated for woman and children at the Yegoff Primary School on October 15, 2021 in Kombolcha, Ethiopia. Female IDP's who are nursing or expecting sleep in separate quarters at most IDP camps. The Yegoff Primary School is currently the home to 703 IDP's from the Habru Woreda, Guba Lafto, Kobo and Lasta. Food shortages, lack of clothing and proper bedding are among some of the major challenges that face IDP's at the camp. The almost yearlong conflict in the Tigray region, whose southern border is about 180km to the north, has spread to neighboring Amhara after the TPLF recaptured most of its home state from government forces in June and then invaded the Amhara and Afar regions in July of 2021. @HabtishGurmu@iyoba4u At this point, it should have been clear to you that Eritreans are more pro Ethiopia than the Oromo led OLF government that continues terrorising people and making lawless an everyday norm in the country, with their 16th century failed Oromuma projects.
Today marks the third anniversary of the Bulen Massacre. Armed groups brutally killed 207 rural civilians including women and children at Bulen district in Benishangul-Gumuz Region. No human hand was used to prepare the bodies for burial. The government used an excavator to dig a mass grave and bury the victims. The plaque that marked the grave site says the victims were residents from Shinasha, Agew, Amhara, and Oromo ethnic groups. In a country where the dead are mourned for years, the mass burial demonstrated the indifference of the government towards poor rural Ethiopians regardless of their ethnic origin.
