As a committed Congress worker from Kerala, I believe the 2026 mandate carries a very clear political message. This victory is not just for the UDF,it is also a recognition of the leadership, credibility and fighting spirit of V. D. Satheesan.

During one of the most challenging periods for the party in Kerala, VDS stood firm and rebuilt confidence among workers and supporters. He united the organisation, strengthened Team UDF, and consistently took on the LDF government with clarity, courage and accountability. More importantly, he became a strong voice for secularism, social harmony and inclusive politics, earning trust across communities.

This mandate is also a victory for his politics, his stand and his unwavering commitment towards the people of Kerala.

Congress in Kerala has many experienced and capable leaders who are respected by all. But this moment, this mandate and this responsibility rightfully belong to VDS. The people voted with a clear expectation and emotion attached to his leadership.

If someone other than V. D. Satheesan becomes CM, it will be seen by many ordinary Congress supporters and voters in Kerala as ignoring the very sentiment that powered this historic victory. Such a decision could deeply disappoint the cadre and weaken the political momentum the party has regained after years.

Kerala has spoken with clarity. Respect the mandate. Honour the spirit behind this victory.

US President Trump has called India a “HELLHOLE.”

This statement is extremely insulting and anti-India. It hurts every Indian.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take up this matter with the US President and register a strong objection.

وحفاظاً على سلامة الجميع

تُهيب وزارة الداخلية بالمواطنين والمقيمين على ضرورة البقاء في المنازل وتجنب الخروج، إلا لحالات الضرورة القصوى، وذلك من الساعة الثانية عشرة منتصف ليلة الثلاثاء السابع من إبريل إلى الساعة السادسة من صباح يوم الأربعاء الثامن من إبريل، وذلك كإجراء احترازي يأتي في إطار الحرص على سلامة الجميع، وتعزيز مستوى الوقاية، وتمكين الجهات الأمنية من أداء مهامها بكفاءة عالية.

كما تؤكد الوزارة أن هذا الإجراء يأتي في إطار الحفاظ على الأمن والاستقرار، داعية الجميع إلى التقيد بالتعليمات الصادرة والتعاون مع الجهات المختصة خلال هذه المرحلة.
