ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
We were Merged with PMC in October 2017. It is now 9 years, yet there is still NO Government-approved Development Plan for Undri–Pisoli.

As a result, taxpayers have been denied the most basic civic infrastructure:
❌ PMC water pipeline network
❌ Proper roads & footpaths
❌ Streetlights
❌ Sewage & storm-water networks
❌ Reliable electricity infrastructure
❌ Planned civic amenities

A society of just 200 flats spends nearly ₹60 lakh every year on private water tankers because PMC cannot provide a basic water pipeline. How is this acceptable after paying property taxes for years?

MSEDCL power failures are another nightmare. Frequent outages damage appliances and disrupt thousands of people working in hybrid/WFH models. Undri Hill Top has been without power since last night, with residents being told it could take several more hours.

And now the biggest question:

WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD?
When residents of Chakan started raising their voices, the Development Plan was approved within weeks—and funds started getting allocated.

What exactly is different about Prabhag 41?

When Chakan screams, the system & government machinery responds. When Undri–Pisoli screams, the system sleeps.

Why?

For 9+ years, Prabhag 41 in #Pune residents have been paying taxes while being treated as second-class citizens. Having 50-55% of Retired Armed Forces populations in the area who have served the country - @adgpi @IAF_MCC @indiannavy

And please don't tell us that the RMC plant is development. That is perhaps 2% of the problem.

What about the remaining 98% that has been deliberately left pending since October 2017?
In the same way, Property Taxes should be kept at abyence till date. #JustAsking

Hon. @VijayShivtare — you are our MLA.
Our elected representatives are lost in their own world.

Residents want to understand the following from your MPLAD budget:

1. How much MPLAD / public money has been allocated to Prabhag 41 since the PMC merger?
2. How much has actually been spent?
3. On exactly which projects?
4. Where is the sanctioned Development Plan?
5. What is the deadline for PMC water pipelines?
6. When will proper roads, footpaths, sewage, storm-water drains, and streetlights be delivered?
7. Why does Chakan get an accelerated response while Prabhag 41 waits for 9+ years?

We don't need another meeting, committee, inspection or assurance.

We need ACTION.

The Urban Development Department under @mieknathshinde requires stong pushed to clear the long-pending Development Plan and unlock infrastructure for Undri, Pisoli and Mohammadwadi.

Residents' frustration is now beyond the boiling point.

Don't wait for citizens to come onto the streets and bring the entire area to a standstill before you decide to act. That day is not far away.

Prabhag 41 has paid its taxes.
Now deliver what taxpayers have been paying for.
NO MORE EXCUSES.
NO MORE DELAYS.

If this is what the highest court of the land has said, may i know why #UndriHilltop developed with multiple housing Societies in an area called #NYATICOUNTY bereft of even a single #FOOTHPATH. Safety of us citizens has been compromised so badly that we cannot even allow our children to ride a bicycle on the road or learn to navigate footpaths, as an area which has seen #uncontrolledURBANIZATION has very little to offer the future generations with #WaterTankers, #RMCMixervehicles, #Schoolbuses etc occupying the busy narrow roads making it impossible to walk. Why has this #fundamentalright of ours been taken away from us?

Request the planners to look into such gross violations done which only benefits the lobby behind this #unwanteddevelopment model.

#Prabhag41Corporators & the powers that be, why this 'cloak & dagger' games with us innocent citizens? If adequate water is not available, why talk of providing lines to areas like us, parched for piped water for more than #20years. Stop this routine drama please. It's better to bring in a #moratorium on construction in our Ward until adequate water is made available. Till then;

1. Make the Developer/PMC pay for our water purchase running into crores for the area.
2. Desilt the existing lakes to ensure better catchment in the monsoon.
3. Create reservoirs in the area to capture wasted rain water going into drains.
4. Look for other sources to supplement the requirement of water for the city.
5. Enforce RWH systems for all new projects so that each Society gets an adequate share of rain water and charge the ground water levels of the city.

UNLESS the authorities think 'out of the box', lip service should end and Developers/PMC made accountable. Let's see some governance in action for areas like ours in #UNDRIHILLTOP where we have been cheated by Developers and living on HOPE for the last 20 years. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....

#Pune is becoming “Tanker Town” despite being surrounded by numerous dams.

Residents are paying lakhs every month for private tankers because basic pipeline infrastructure has never reached growing areas like #Undri, #Handewadi, #Mohammadwadi, #Pisoli & #NIBMAnnex.
People are forced to pay property tax + Water tanker tax. And now citizens are expected to be “grateful” for overpriced water?

This is not a luxury. This is a basic right.
PMC cannot keep approving massive housing projects without water pipelines, storage tanks & long-term planning.

Solution: Building 10+ water tanks on Amenity Spaces of 2.5 TMC each under a PPP model, along with a proper pipeline network, can transform the region and support 60-70+ societies, existing residents, retired armed forces families, and upcoming projects. Approval process can be done swiftly internally by @PMCPune

Enough of temporary fixes. Pune needs permanent water infrastructure now.

After @navalMH stepped in, work finally started moving on ground — unlike the predecessors who never even bothered visiting the location.

Sadly, some Credit-Hungry Faces woke up only after two innocent lives were lost. While others chased headlines, a few stayed on the ground fighting for solutions, infrastructure and dignity for residents.

Shameful planning failure by earlier two PMC Commissioner who just hogged on Builders growth keep Residents deprived of Basic Amenities like water, sewage pipeline, roads & infrastructure etc...

@PMCPune must deliver a time-bound water infrastructure project immediately — Build 2 - 3 water tanks opposite Nyati Eternity on the amenities space + parallel laying of water pipeline network execution.

This cannot be another delayed PMC promise. Assign the project to a capable expert agency that can ensure water reaches every home in this severely stressed locality.

I don't think #Undri is part of the first phase. There are sceptics all over but we do feel that at least the push of #PavneetKaur ji Addl. PMC Commissioner has ensured that the 3 defunct Water Tanks made years ago finally are seeing action. Surely the areas around Dorabjee Mall would benefit as also part of Mohammedwadi.

However the issues of Undri Hilltop/Pisoli and others are different. As i see it the DP plan of this area is yet not in place although being tinkered with from 2017. We expect our respected elected reps #PrachiAlhat, #AtulTarawde, #AnnaBandal, #SwethataiGhule to push hard with the State Government to ensure that the DP plan is approved and realistic action commences. We see statements made by some that #WATER will reach #UndriHilltop soon, but being realistic it's still a long way unless the 4 reps push hard and fast track this project.

Let people not be fooled that it will happen in a jiffy knowing how the system has worked till date. It is also humbly requested that till such plans fructify;

a) a MOROTORIUM on Construction in Undri HILLTOP is put in place.
b) PMC water through Tankers be supplied on a larger scale to this area as we pay Property Taxes year on year.
c) a roadmap be shared with us ASAP as otherwise elected reps get away making impractical commitments to us.
d) Construction going on presently has to use STP water only, which is not being followed as Tanker water needed by Societies gets diverted into construction.

Unless there is a determined bid and commitment from all concerned this area is slipping badly day in and day out. People are furious and may vent their anger sooner or later

Whilst we acknowledge the commitment of #PavneetKaur ji in walking the talk and delivering what was said.

However, the biggest challenge would be to bring piped water to the Hill Top of #Undri as following steps would be necessary;

1. Approved DP plan
2. Survey of the area for creating the pipeline network and location of Storage Tank if Dorabjee Tank is not available or pumping facility cannot be put in place
3. Approval of Budget by PMC and executing the project after tendering

Exactly 100% with you. Residents of #Mohammadwadi, #Undri, #NIBMAnnex, and #Pisoli have been suffering the same mess since 2005.

This entire belt was under Gram Panchayat / PMRDA. Builders happily submitted "Water Affidavits", got their NOC/OC, sold flats, and walked away. No one ever planned a proper water pipeline network. Today, societies are forced to buy tanker water just to survive.

Since October 2017, these areas were merged into PMC. But even after that, the administration had zero clarity on handling water-scarce zones. Residents are paying full property taxes, yet basic infrastructure is missing—no water pipelines, no proper roads, no streetlights, no sewage lines, no storm water systems. Nothing.
