Netflix added a really cute anime called “Cells at Work!” and it’s super educational on how the cardiopulmonary and immune systems work. I think it would be a good suggestion for high school bio students!

After a very stressful day at home yesterday, my students really lifted me up today. They were happy and engaged and just kind. My lesson went smooth and I could pause in the moment and think “wow this is great and these kids are great.”
I gave a Mid-Term exam for 6th graders which featured a short answer question about a chemist and whether their experiment provided evidence of the Law of Conservation of Mass. MANY of them referred to the chemist as “she” when gender was not referenced in text.
