OK, we can debate about what is spread by contact, but this is what I saw.
#1 papillomavirus
#2 polyomavirus
#3 EBV
#4-7 Molluscum contagiosum, HSV, Chickenpox, and CMV.
I didn't include enteros.
Note, data probably skewed. I wasn't trying to sequence DNA viruses.
New article on Paxlovid rebound in @nytimes shows that people are finally accepting what I always proposed: Early Paxlovid suppresses virus levels before the immune system can mount an effective response, until the drug ends and the virus pops up again.

With autoimmune diseases, the body mistakenly attacks a person’s own cells – but a reverse vaccine could teach the immune system to forget how to target certain molecules. https://t.co/AmS5lNmXXC
We are already seeing the effects of #ClimateChange on outbreaks.
This year, we have had #Marburg outbreaks in #Tanzania and #EquatorialGuinea for the first time.
We are also seeing cases of #dengue and #malaria being reported in parts of the world that don’t typically see it.
BA.2.86 variant update
Only a few more cases detected in recent days (Denmark, Portugal) and more wastewater evidence at low levels (Switzerland)
The longer we go without a significant spread signal, the better it looks (for now at least)

Very IMPORTANT study
- Vaccines or prior infection DO PROTECT against infection for low and moderate exposure to virus
- Do NOT be protect if HIGH exposure
So N95 masks, ventilation, filtration are CRITICAL, they can turn high exposures into low or moderate, avoid infection!
Really nice study, surveillance in other species that are susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 seems to be really important 👇
