This study reports our experience of 547 consecutive MIS CBDE, demonstrating that RCBDE achieves comporable outcomes to LCBDE, despite preferential use in technically demanding cases.
Following propensity-adjusted analysis, the only significant difference was a modest increase in operative duration with the robotic approach.
Our findings support the integration of robotic surgery within a structured minimally invasive biliary pathway in dedicated specialist centres.

⭐️HPB Journal Highlight ⭐️Lahiri et al. report that neoadjuvant therapy for advanced gallbladder cancer can downstage select patients. The study adds to growing evidence supporting neoadjuvant treatment as an important patient selection tool. 🔗https://t.co/Y19Ut7sy1b

Appendectomy is one of the most common on-call general surgery emergencies which is usually managed with expedited surgery. Our data shows that slight delays to operation (6-24 hours) may allow for similar outcomes as expedited surgery in both children and adults.

The “Grey’s Anatomy effect” is real. When TV portrays trauma patients making miraculous recoveries, it can shape unrealistic expectations for patients and families after serious injury.
In reality, recovery is often slower, more uncertain, and emotionally complex. Better public understanding of trauma outcomes could improve communication, trust, and decision-making in critical care. Read more: https://t.co/qJrFuSyNOv
Respuesta a quimio.
Estado del paciente.
Además, las pruebas germinales y moleculares ganan peso: BRCA/PALB2, MSI-H/dMMR y KRAS pueden cambiar el tratamiento.

HPB Journal Highlight ⭐️Does margin status matter most in PHC? In 110 resections, R1 margins was not associated with survival if nodes were negative. Nodal metastasis was the key prognostic factor. Adjuvant RT associated with improved DFS in R1 cases 🔗https://t.co/jVZ6raiFdt
Biliary tract cancers are best understood through anatomy.
Intrahepatic, perihilar, and distal tumors behave differently — and so does their management.
Clear explanation in this video:

🔪 Total vs subtotal gastrectomy after FLOT in diffuse distal GC
🔹 R0 resection: similar ⚖️
🔹 TG ↑ morbidity ⚠️ + longer stay 🏥
🔹 Recurrence: no differences
🔹 OS favors subtotal gastrectomy 📈
💡 Less extensive surgery may improve outcomes in selected patients
