This is a great precedent for the education sector. Importantly the Court emphasizes the need to make formal decisions. You admit student based on “transfer of credit”, they enroll, pay fees, study for the rest of the course, you vet her to be Guild president telling the whole world she is on normal progress, at the gates of graduation, u claim she must resist year one?
The court says that’s irrational in absence of formal communication about the requirement to redo courses and breaches the students legitimate expectation.

Such cases ideally should always be settled since the injustice is always in black and white.
