@or_sattath (BGU) opened with the optimistic side: public quantum money and one-shot signatures (Amos et al., Best Paper at Crypto), enabling "prudent contracts" and a Bitcoin upgrade path that eventually retires mining.

@DesheShai followed with the migration plan. Front-running during the broadcast-to-confirmation window is the real near-term surface. In flight: BIP-360 (soft-fork ramp for new signatures), cryptographic canaries as on-chain tripwires, Lifted FawkesCoin (LFC) for recovering legacy and lost addresses, and BIP-361 (Jameson Lopp et al.) as the roadmap.
