@_MsDimpless@csub_techteach1 I thought Class Dojo was a super fun app. You can really get creative with it and have super cool emojis to allow your students to express themselves. I also liked how you can post in the class and the students can follow the social media feed all year long.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 I like how on Kahoot you can receive almost live feedback on how your students are doing. This allows you to adjust lessons to be sure the whole class is ready to move on to the next stage of the lesson.
@csub_techteach1 I believe I mentioned this last week, but my favorite tool to utilize not only in my future classroom but at work as well has become Google Sites. I love how creative you can get with sites and it's in some sorts, a one-stop shop where you can implement many tools into one.
@Wendi_Ann_Reese@csub_techteach1 Hey Wendi, I do like how you can check on students and if they have questions they can check in with you. Rather than waiting to ask a question they can ask right away. Also, some students may be more comfortable asking this way, rather than in front of the class.
@MRobledo64@csub_techteach1 Whats up Matt, I too like that you can use Google Forms to create surveys just to check in with students from time to time. It doesn't even really have to be educational. You can make a survey just to simply see how they are doing.
@csub_techteach1 My favorite Google tool is quickly becoming sites. I really like how you can get creative with your page. From embedding educational links and videos to inserting Google Forms and slides. It's a one-stop shop where you can effectively use all of Google's tools in one place.
@csub_techteach1 Hey guys hope all is well. I think that my portfolio is coming along pretty nicely. I’ve come a long way in being able to work with sites. Before this class I had never used it before. I think that my embedded Geo Guessr is a fun way to get students interested in other cultures.
@itsmekelci@csub_techteach1 Hi Keaton, google forms is cool because you can create a survey to ask students about their cultural backgrounds and things they like best about their cultures and integrate that in a lesson plan to spark interest in the culture of other students.
@RubiGalvez13@csub_techteach1 Hi Rubi, I thinks that google forms is a great way to learn the different cultures in the classroom. I too have created a survey to embed in my site that will allow students to answer questions about their lives that will open up cultural conversations.
@csub_techteach1 A grading tool that I would utilize in class would be Schoolology. One thing that I like about schoolology is that you can view statistics on how the overall class is doing. This allows you to focus on areas that need improvement.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 I too like google slides. It's very straightforward and easy to use. So easy that younger students can get creative with it as well. I think it makes learning more fun when they can bring out their creativity and show their presentations to the classroom just like the teacher.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 I too think Canva is a very useful tool. Its simple and easy-to-use software makes the process more understandable for younger students. Also once they start creating on Canva and their presentations come to life, they would be so excited about them.
@csub_techteach1 I personally use Canva for work. I think this is plenty enough to present to students, especially younger ones. If you can get creative with Canva you can create fun and interesting lesson plans that won't confuse them.
@isidromoralesss@csub_techteach1 I'm so glad that you brought this up. I have never heard of it, however, I need this in my day-to-day one hundred percent!! Between work and school, the day is so busy and this sounds like a lifesaver. Thank you sir for sharing. Later Isidro going to download this now!!! : )
@MRobledo64@csub_techteach1 I do like the idea of implementing group learning into the day. Not only does it help hold them accountable but they can bounce ideas off of each other and feed off of those ideas to create a more productive learning environment.
@csub_techteach1 The technology that I would love to implement into my lesson plans would be Socrative. I like how you can have them play educational games and create quizzes on the fly, all while making learning fun and exciting. They can also use devices they are already comfortable using.
@samanthadlt23 @csub_techteach1 I like how Kahoot can coordinate the color with a word. This would be especially useful for pre-k to kindergarten children who may just be learning these things. This can be used as a multi-level learning tool to help them learn words and colors at the same time.
@tsantoyo12@csub_techteach1 This seems like a very cool Idea. I like the fact that they can revisit lessons on their own time. This is especially useful for a student who may learn at a slower pace. Or if a student would just simply like to look back on the day's lesson.
