@LeahandMichelle@reachjulieroys@ProjRescue Sure, maybe. I don't know him at all. I hope all is brought to light & he's held accountable. My point was that his main job is a pastor of a church; he is not an employee of Project Rescue. I doubt they'd be aware of any allegations until this came to light.
Meryl Streep is a brilliant actress. That isn't the point.
C.S. Lewis wrote Aslan as Christ. Male. He. The Son of the Emperor-Over-the-Sea.
Netflix has chosen a woman to give voice to that explicitly male Christ figure.
This doesn't happen in a cultural vacuum. For years, Hollywood has been deliberately breaking the connection between biological sex, gender and identity, particularly in stories presented to children.
Male becomes female.
Female becomes male.
And eventually the audience is expected to pretend there are no differences. As if they weren't there.
Now that treatment has reached Aslan, one of the most recognizable representations of Jesus Christ in children's literature.
This is not “artistic vision.” This switch from male to female of a representation of Christ in literature is both disrespectful of C.S. Lewis' original work and and the man himself.
At what point does “inclusion” become the deliberate erasure of the source material, and a mockery of the Christian faith at its center?
St Paul, Minnesota politicians passed the strictest rent control in America!
It would "end profiteering.”
4 years later, here’s how that rent control failed:
Hey @grok, what was the Colorado State budget in 2016 compared to the Colorado State budget in 2026? What was the total population growth in Colorado during that time as a total and a percentage of change?
The early church was (1) multi-ethnic/against racism (2) committed to the poor (3) forgiving and reconciling (4) anti-abortion/pro-life (5) committed to sex only within marriage between a man and a woman. Those five combined were seen as radical and out of step with the culture.
Today, our secular culture has sought to maintain some ethical values from Christianity while rejecting its theology and worldview (see T.Holland “Dominion”), so The Five theological-ethical stances appear to be a ‘middle ground’ between ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’.
But they aren’t a middle ground or ‘third way’ at all, except via accidental appearance. Taken together (which they must be—since they are based on the same distinct Christian view of power and service) The Five are still radical and out of step with the culture.
The conservative church GENERALLY tends to reject calls for justice and reconciliation (1-3) while the progressive church and ex-Evangelicals reject 4-5. I'd argue that they hang together—not just theologically but practically (and historically).

The BBC Is Sanitizing the Slaughter of Christians in Nigeria
"The BBC went to Nigeria looking for ‘fake news’ and found mass graves, burned churches, murdered families and Christian survivors. Then the disgraceful propaganda outlet tried to explain those atrocities away.
Calling massacres "farmer-herder clashes" and Christian persecution "misinformation" isn’t journalism. It is sanitizing slaughter.
The BBC found the truth and chose to look away.
Our reporters live in these communities. They document the bodies, the burned churches and the survivors, while BBC journalists fly back to London and debate terminology.
The graves are real. The victims are real. The BBC’s attempt to run cover for terrorists is what should be called fake news.”

In 1990, more than a third of the planet lived in extreme poverty. Today it's under 10 percent.
Over a billion people climbed out in a single generation. The fastest, largest escape from poverty in human history.
It didn't come from government aid or charity. It came from capitalism.
Free markets, private property and trade.
When people are free to start a business, own what they build and sell it, they lift themselves out of poverty. Every time. Everywhere it's been tried.
Nothing in history has lifted more people out of poverty.
Thirty years of women fighting to get this league built, and the question on the table this week is what a woman is. Needing a committee to find that answer is a disservice to every girl who was told this league was for her.
This is one of the best illustrations of what socialism (in any form) does to the poor. It promises a ladder of programs & benefits but can’t lift people out of poverty. No country on earth has made the poor better off under socialist governments.
Throwback to pro-life celebrity Tim Tebow hosting a red carpet event to humanize people with special needs, including children with Down syndrome.
These people are valuable and worthy of life. 🤍

This Easter, I invite you to look at Jesus, consider what he said and did, and ask for yourself what I believe is the most important question you will ever answer: Did he really leave behind an empty tomb? And if he did, what does that mean for you?
This video was made possible and in collaboration with my friends at @ChildlikeMedia.
@HolyPost_Media@jamestalarico They assume because it's true. Because one guy says they're welcome doesn't make it so. Can you imagine pro-life democrats setting up at the next DNC convention? That's not happening. They love abortion. Your phrasing on his comments makes it sound like you agree with him.
