My fellow Americans: Please direct your attention to this matter for just a moment. Allow this to sink in. The President of the United States of America just said he wants to ban the free press. He said he doesn’t want them in his office, which by the way is the Oval Office in the People’s House. This is unheard of, and we the people cannot let this be!

For the record, we have a free press in this country. For the record we should all be worried not just about this latest outburst, but by all of it going forward without permission — putting our service members in harms way, raising tariffs willy nilly, threatening buildings and institutions unless his name gets put on them. This is not the behavior of a centered leader who is focused on the good of the people. This is not the behavior of a compassionate leader focused on the millions of Americans who cannot afford healthcare, childcare, gas, or food. This is not the behavior of a man who can emotionally regulate himself.

We should all be concerned — those who voted for him and those who didn’t. The midterms are around the corner. Vote like your life and the lives of others are at stake, because they are. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

BREAKING: RFK Jr.'s sister Kerry tears into Trump after his MAGA-corrupted Kennedy Center board voted to close the beloved performing arts venue.

This is what a REAL member of the Kennedy family sounds like...

“The American people love the Kennedy Center. They love the arts. They understand what’s going on, they see the corruption of this," she told CNN.

She pushed back on the absurd claim made by the board that the building must be closed for renovations because it's supposedly "unsafe" and facing "fiscal collapse." She said that there is no "financial issue" which tracks with other reporting on the issue. The Center was thriving before Trump took over and artists began pulling out. It's not failing due to a lack of popularity, it's struggling due to MAGA incompetence.

“President Trump has said they have $250 million, ready to hand over tomorrow,” said Kerry Kennedy, referring to funds that have been appropriated by Congress. “He’s just withholding it because he wants his name on the building. So, this is like so many other things that Trump has touched. It’s a bankruptcy because he adds his name to it.”

We all know that she's right. Nobody, except for perhaps the most diehard, braindead Trump supporters, think that the Kennedy Center is being shut down due to an abundance of caution and in line with good governance. Trump is throwing a hissy fit because the courts blocked his insane, vain, pathetic attempt to slap his reviled name on the building.

This is a clear cut case of Trump saying "if I can't have it, nobody can." He'd rather deny the American people access to the center entirely than allow his ego to accept defeat.

Kennedy's cousin Maria Shriver voiced a similar sentiment, stating that “a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building” was a “sad state of affairs.”

Ultimately, the American people will win and the Kennedy Center will survive. Donald Trump will be remembered as the worst President in American history and a petty, venial, desperate man on a personal level.
