@CtrlAltDwayne@karpathy The person who knows what they are doing is clearly more valuable. Having AI produce code you don't understand is a liability. If you use AI you need to read every line carefully. Takes just as long. Oh unless we are talking cowboy coding and shipping broken software.
@deedydas@tunguz I would guess is about the social connections, probable family wealth etc. This class doesn't look insanely hard. Most decent CS, Maths or Physics degrees would be at this level of difficulty at some point and there are thousands of universities teaching at that level.
@oisyn@that_one_nerdy_@FOSSPenguin@deedydas That said rewriting that in words or code is probably a good learning exercise. You are not forced to read it like that. This is what you have to do with legacy code in real life.
@CallumVass @davidfowl Was he right to pick Java then? I can't see how it would be much better in that regard. Both would require you to use a framework, and the UI is up to you to set up tooling for, there are many choices.
