After 4 weeks of waiting in kennels, we have made the difficult decision to also consider rehoming Mary and Midge separately
These two lovely older Chihuahua girls have had a lot of interest, and we have replied to every enquiry we’ve received. Unfortunately, despite the interest, nobody has yet come forward to arrange a meeting with them or progress with a rehoming application.
They simply don’t deserve to spend their days waiting in kennels, so we feel we have to widen their options and look for the right homes for them individually. ❤️

However, after 4 weeks with no rehoming applications progressing, we cannot let the lack of interest in a joint home mean these girls remain in kennels indefinitely.

Shirley Zimmerley, 69, from Cocoa, Florida, stabbed a horse multiple times with a knife right in front of a child at a therapy ranch.

Then she whipped it because she got frustrated with its behavior.

This happened July 27 in Brevard County. The kid went home and told the parents. Deputies showed up and found the horse malnourished, scoring a three out of nine on the body condition scale, covered in stab wounds and whip marks. Other horses on the place had open sores. She tried blaming a cat. Sheriff Wayne Ivey wasn’t buying any of it.

She’s booked on one felony and two misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. Bond set at $10,000. Ivey made it clear he’d rather set the bonds himself so people like this stay locked up.

This is pure evil. A therapy horse, already half starved, getting stabbed and beaten in front of a child who came there for help.

Anyone who does that to a helpless animal has something broken inside them. Glad Brevard locked her up. Keep her there.

This is a really crazy situation that caused quite a stir when it happened.
A “Home Instead” franchise owner Jennifer Hannah in Illinois fired her seven month pregnant staff member Crystal because she was wearing maternity pants. After she fired her, she locked her in the office, and would not let her go because she wanted her identification card back .

Here is Jennifer on the phone with cops asking them to come because she’s afraid of her employee who she has locked in her office with her. The arrogance of this woman is off the charts. Crystal, the former employee is having a panic attack, and begging the owner to please let her out. When police arrived Crystal needed medical attention.
She finally let Crystal out when the police told her that she was not allowed to imprison anyone on the premises.
Jennifer Hannah was served a summons, and had her Home Instead franchise taken away from her by the parent company.

Home Instead issued a statement emphasizing they "do not condone behavior that is inconsistent with our values" and took the incident "very seriously"

Kicking, shouting, tethering him to a tree with water just out of his reach, when he playfully jumped at them they proceeded to beat him with a lease.
51 clips of abuse the dogs suffered at the hands of this beast of a woman and her partner.
140 hours community service and 7 year ban, thats what the court thought. So we think that just like obi and his fake pet sitting crays hill pet sitters she deserves to be named in her local community and known as an abuser of innocent animals who cant speak up.

Destiny Reyes is one step closer to walking free after what she did to that baby duck.

In June on the Las Vegas Strip she climbed into the Venetian fountain, grabbed the little bird, tossed it more than 50 times, dropped it on the concrete, and yanked its wings until one was injured. All on camera. No remorse.

A judge just approved modified release terms. She still faces the felony animal cruelty charge. Court date is August 25.

This kind of cruelty is pure evil. Soft justice only invites more of it.

Another police K9 dead from heat in a patrol car. This time it was K9 Vethos in Junction City, Kansas, on July 6, 2026.

Vethos was a Belgian Malinois who joined the Junction City Police Department in 2024. He worked Investigations with his handler. On Monday he was found unresponsive inside his K-9 equipped vehicle. Preliminary findings say heat exposure killed him.

The department put the handler on administrative leave and immediately asked the Kansas Bureau of Investigation for an independent look. Good. This should never happen. These dogs work in the heat, the cold, and the dark so the rest of us don’t have to.

Leaving one locked in a hot car is pure negligence. No excuses. No “it was a busy day.” These animals put their lives on the line every shift. The least we can do is keep them from cooking to death in the back of a cruiser.

Vethos was more than equipment. He was a teammate. A protector. A good boy who served his city. Rest easy, partner. We have the watch from here.

Darcy, a one‑year‑old Dalmatian, died weighing just 7.1kg — around a third of a healthy dog’s weight.
Her owner, Swansea mother-of-two Kimberley Richards‑Miller, has been banned from keeping animals for life after admitting causing unnecessary suffering.
Darcy’s emaciated body was taken to a vet on 14 November, scoring 1/9 on the body condition scale.
The court heard Richards‑Miller had been told several times to seek veterinary help in the weeks before Darcy died — but never did.
A post‑mortem revealed:
• Severe loss of fat and muscle throughout her body
• Almost no gut contents
• Stress‑ and hypothermia‑related stomach ulceration seen in starvation cases
• No underlying illness — meaning Darcy’s condition was caused solely by not being fed
Vets said an adult Dalmatian dropping from 20kg to 7kg would take around five months on water alone. For a young, growing dog like Darcy, starvation would have taken months, with suffering every single day.
Richards‑Miller received:
• Lifetime ban on keeping animals
• 12‑month custodial sentence (suspended for 18 months)
• 25 rehabilitation days
• 150 hours unpaid work
• £400 costs + £187 surcharge
Inspector Keith Hogben said:
“It is heartbreaking to imagine what Darcy went through. All animals deserve kindness. Anyone struggling must seek help.”
This is one of several shocking cruelty cases across South Wales this summer — but Darcy’s is the only one resulting in a lifetime ban.

Dad thrown in jail after 'torching kittens with a blow dryer' and 't*rturing them' to punish teen daughter.

David Charette Jr., 48, of Pine Manor, Florida was arrested after his 14-year-old daughter called 911.

She told deputies she watched him hold a 2-month-old kitten named Luna under running water, strike her with a nail polish bottle, and force her into a clothes dryer.

Luna survived and is recovering at an animal hospital.

Sheriff Carmine Marceno said: “The daughter says that when she acts up or when she’s in trouble, her father k*lls her kittens. This is sickening to me.”

Investigators determined Charette had executed two other kittens over the past year.

One, a 1-month-old, was smothered with a bleach-soaked rag in June. Another, a 3-month-old, was burned with a blow dryer. Both were buried in the backyard. Only one set of remains was recovered.

Family members said they never reported the abuse earlier because they feared what he would do to them. Charette faces a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty and is being held on $100,000 bond.

A father who turns helpless kittens into weapons against his own child belongs behind bars. Let's make sure his face is seen far and wide. This dude is a special kind of evil.
