@mbostock Would this Mark also function for diff’ing 2 separate time series, or is it only for “self difference”? The use case that comes to mind is the family of technical indicators such as “golden cross,” where, over time, one moving average is either below or above another signal.

Aside from the profound impact D3 had on so many careers, the D3 examples, source code - and now Observable - have been the most valuable resource out there for learning graphics programming, SVG, Canvas, etc (and it's free🤯).
