@tmprowell@melissagoin@BonaFideMasks We’ve tried all of the masks you mention and my teen also prefers the powecom KN95 in black— she’s been wearing them all year and claims to be one of the few at her school wearing KN95s, but they’re comfortable and come in black, so they’re our go-to.
@WesElyMD@NEJM@nickmmark@US_FDA EUA was granted today for Paxlovid….would like to know what this means in terms of when it will be available and how patients will get it? https://t.co/GN7yZqOCrd
@bhrenton Welcome to Nashville! @NashvilleHealth posts often about their vaccine outreach events, including several upcoming at music venues and entertainment spots. (P.S. I’ve learned so much from your feed this year— many thanks, and hope you enjoy your stay!)
@ddale8 And TN already has free community college, a program started under a Republican administration called TN Promise. 🙃 Seems like she’d want to highlight that concept instead of condemning it.
@VikiLovesFACS A vaccine-hesitant friend asked recently how the body gets rid of LNPs...what happens to them after they reach the spleen & liver? I haven’t been able to find a clear answer for her, but this thread is very helpful. Thanks for posting.
@BrettKelman Got mine there this morning too! @NashvilleHealth and @NashvilleMCC were so organized and efficient. Thank you for everything you’ve done to keep us informed this year— your reporting has been a lifeline (literally!)
@ScientistSwanda@Laurie_Garrett 💙 these videos! Have a question on behalf of a vaccine-hesitant friend. She’s concerned about what happens to the lipid nanoparticles surrounding the RNA fragments in the mRNA vaccines once they enter the cell. How does the body use or get rid of them?
@RiniSmith@TNDeptofHealth I have the same question. Spoke with my PCP office today and they indicated that TN Dept of Health would be defining that more clearly— looking forward to these details.
@kara_nashpost Any word on timelines for EUA in the 12-16 age group? I believe they’ve started phase 3 trials for at least one manufacturer but wondered when results are anticipated.
Honored to be featured on today's Ministry of the Arts podcast from Poiesis at @VUDivinity as part of their series of interviews with Nashville artists working with environmental themes https://t.co/hnZdemynix
@mattwilkinsbio I keep hoping that the sudden massive demand for virtual learning platforms will lead to rapid improvements in quality. It’s shocking to see how poorly designed some of these systems are. Do education tech developers not budget for UX designers?
