@vicgoddard My daughter has left teaching (the job she has always wanted to do) after 13 years because of this reason. The SLT couldn’t care less. Her exit meeting was interesting though! The profession is losing so many experienced teachers that the next generation will suffer.
@MartinSLewis Get a reputable financial advisor (@ 48 to prepare). Paid as much as possible into pension. Be realistic about how much you will need to live on. Make a will (ensure property is protected if 1 of us goes into care) Husband retired at 62 and me at 56. Living our best life
@satisfymyspirit@MartinSLewis@CornwallInsight If you know someone who is already supplied by Octopus they can give you a link to move to them and you both get a £50 credit on your account
@MartinSLewis Energy supplier move. We are due to move house soon and would like to stay with our current energy supplier. Although there are no switches at the moment can we still ask our current supplier to move with us? Thanks
@MartinSLewis@MartinSLewis your calculator is showing that a fixed we are being offered is worth considering. We are due to downsize home a couple of months after the fixed would be set. If our use age dropped considerably during the fixed term do we have a right to reduce the payments?
@AskNationwide 1. Can we close a joint bank account online or do we have to go into branch. 2. If we close a plus account can all the direct debits be transferred to our Direct account
Question I'd like all potential Conservative leaders to answer (RT if agree)
The energy price cap's predicted to rise 64% in Oct taking a typical bill to £3,244/yr; & rise again in Jan to £500/yr more than when May's help package was announced. What'll u do to avoid this & when?
