Were you tremendous, better than anyone else, and quite frankly, best in the world at your previous job, but after making it great again are looking for new opportunities? Here’s some recommendations on coping with loss, improving your golf game and more: https://t.co/R5avMxNjHN
@RachelNotley My partner finished upgrading to switch careers this year, and he will now have to stay at home with our little one when I return to work after mat leave next month because we cannot justify child care even if he finds an entry level job in his new field.
@rlexier They do the same for politicians and public figures, no? Just goes to show how famous you (and other academics) are and how everything said on social media is considered to be a public statement of opinion/position? Sigh.. "research" these days of internet!?
@freckledLeanne @timgarvie Ooh, yes! Just One and Codenames are great word association/vocabulary games; Pandemic is awesome for learning to work cooperatively as a team towards a shared goal; Decrypto, Alchemist, and Captain Sonar are great for analysis and deduction...
So awesome that the conference plenaries are available online for those who missed out.. so many great gems for public servants and policy practitioners!! #abgov#PoliComm
You are cordially invited to view the webcasts of the plenaries and panels from the 2019 #PoliComm Conference! With 13 videos to choose from, there is plenty of content on bettering your policy practice. View the recordings here: https://t.co/DUIt2Ogzjz
Such an important reminder.. the whole thread is great, but this last tweet captures the most important part of the message! Focus on the team and how you work before all else!
...Sometimes throwing a new tool into a team that needs to work on other things can make things worse.
Change + grumpy people = extra grumpy people.
Build a team with healthy habits working together, and then let them decide what tool matches their shared way of working. 4/4
@ctvedmonton Experienced a similarly reimagined historical industrial building in the Netherlands... @WSKathedraal Werkspoor Cathedral in Utrecht has become a unique and successful venue for ALL sorts of great events! #yeg@CityofEdmonton@doniveson@EPCOR
Yes!!! MORE of this please, @yeg@CityofEdmonton !! Imagine the possibilities beyond parties - saw a similarly awesome venue in the Netherlands recently... Werkspoor Cathedral @WSKathedraal hosts great festivals, events, conferences in a fantastic recovered industrial building.
Yasss! #yyc is at my core, and #yeg is where I've chosen to make my home.. but above all, I'm #Albertan and #Canadian.. and I happily cheer for teams that represent all of us. #GoFlamesGo
Nice to see that there is some humanity and humility left in Alberta afterall.. #abpoli We can do so much better when we are respectful, regardless of our differences. #abvote
I believe that we should always have the opportunity to make things right. I am grateful that Steve has taken in first step in acknowledging that we can do better and it's time to build our community together. We are all Albertans.

@rlexier Political messes as they may be, they are at least both examples of democracy and public voice in a world where many can only wish for such a privilege. #gratitude#democracy I'll not take it for granted! #ABVote
