Celebrating #BSD40@HutchBasicSci this week with a discovery from Adrian Ferre D'Amare's lab. They solved the structure of the TruB pseudouridine synthase bound to the RNA it modifies, work that suggested that RNA molecules need chaperones to fold.

Here's the video of lysosomes at a seconds timescale. Look a the tubular lysosomes traveling between the circular lysosomes- pew pew - like little ray guns
And here's a time lapse video of lysosomes for over 7 hours - you can see the accumulation of secondary lysosomes (red) - aging in realtime! And you can see the primary lysosomes filling with BFP like little blueberries! @mkaeberlein@uwlabmedpath#aging
Used "prerelease" AGE Presents lectures in a grad course w/ @mendenhall_lab. One video/wk + a primary research paper. Students wrote individual "peer-reviews" for each paper, then met in small groups for collaborative review a la @eLife, then full class discussion. Was great!
