Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed.
Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.
I met with Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian student at Columbia University, who was imprisoned for 104 days by the Trump administration for opposing Netanyahu’s illegal & horrific war in Gaza. Outrageous.
We must not allow Trump to destroy the First Amendment & freedom to dissent.
On the ground in Gaza, humanitarian organizations and others are sounding the alarm about malnutrition and famine. UNICEF said Thursday that in the past 48 hours, four children have died from starvation.
"This is famine. They bring us aid on these trucks, and all these young people go to get some aid. My kids go with them too. If you are going for a bag of flour, you are walking to your potential death," said Atef Sobh, a Gaza resident.
@nickschifrin reports.
The ICJ has ruled on provisional measures in the #Genocide case against Israel, which must immediately stop killing & harming people in #Gaza & inflicting destructive conditions on them, punish incitement, allow all humanitarian aid, save evidence & report next month. #Victory
"Just to put it bluntly, these are not refugees from Syria, these are refugees from neighbouring Ukraine.
That, quite frankly, it is part of it.
These are Christians, they are white, they're ... um... 'very similar to the people that live in Poland'."

@JReinerMD In as much as I condemn the act as vandalism I wouldn’t describe it as antisemitic. It’s against Israel as a post colonial apartheid ethno-religious state but I can’t see the link to Judaism. The sign and the article tried to link the two together
