AI agents can write code many times faster than a human. What this means is that you, the programmer, have a large amount of time to use those agents to write unit tests, to write acceptance, tests, to write property tests, to torture test, to mutate test, to QA test, and to otherwise ensure that the code meets its functional and quality requirements. And even after spending all that time, you will still be many times more productive than a human programmer, and the result will be better.

my opinion is the reason indie hackers see lower revenue is because we're all indie hackers selling to indie hackers

we're selling software to people who also like building software

so when AI comes along and helps you build 80% of any tool in 30 minutes, of course you'll make your own version

but i don't think it's right to extrapolate that thinking to outside of this "indie hacker twitter bubble" to normal everyday people

i believe this is just a "indie hacker / dev" related thing we're seeing in this twitter space, that's all

just sell software to people who don't know how to build software

Modyfy launched just 2 months ago and is already doing $30k/month.

they target a rabid sub-culture (car modding) and use an almost zero-friction funnel to get them to the paywall immediately:

• zero demographic questions.
• pure feature showcase.
• 5-star rating prompt before the user even tries the app
• "Preparing..." loading screen to force the opt-in

Build hype. Farm the review. Then drop the paywall.
