On 19 October 2026, the 🇪🇺European Union @MarosSefcovic will sign an ambitious Association Agreement with 🇸🇲San Marino and 🇦🇩Andorra in Brussels. The EU, San Marino and Andorra share common values and work closely together at the 🇺🇳UN and in other multilateral fora. Our Association Agreement will integrate both countries into our single market and many EU policies. Both countries already have the euro as their currency. To honour this special moment in our partnership, EU Heads of Missions met yesterday evening in San Marino with Luca Beccari, San Marino‘s Secretary of State for Foreign and Political Affairs @AffariEsteriSMR, and @ImmaTorFaus, the Foreign Minister of Andorra. We discussed the next step towards the application and implementation of our Association Agreement and how we can further deepen our close partnership. True, the world has become more insecure, fragmented and conflictual. But this is a strong reason for the European Union to team up even more with our friends, partners and close neighbours. @CKokkinakis
