@ChrisbWells@acoyne@RachelNotley FPTP is here to stay - the top 2 parties in every province and at the federal level like it. Third parties who've had the balance of power in minority parliaments have never made it a condition of support.
@etowntechy@JJ_McCullough Monarchists are a funny bunch. You do understand that the King is a powerless figure head. He may reign but parliament rules.
@RealAlbanianPat UCP splits Calgary, loses Edmonton and runs the table outside of those two cities. Simple path to victory for Danielle Smith unless another right of centre party splits the vote.
@KatKanada_TM Supply management has been made a sacred cow much like our healthcare system. The gatekeepers quickly shut down any talk of changing either in any meaningful way that would benefit the majority of Canadians.
@brianlilley Good to see that there are judges that understand not only the Charter but also the division of powers under sections 91/92. Municipalities fall under provincial jurisdiction which includes all roads within the municipality.
@dairydoc_church@jkenney Don't understand the argument. There has already been a more than 90% decrease in the total number of dairy farms in Canada since supply management was introduced in the early 1970s. So much for saving the family farm!
@TheRealKeean Liberals talk a good game on electoral reform but they will never implement it. NDP and Greens also have no credibility as they have never made it a condition of support in a minority parliament.
@FairVoteCanada You are showing your partisan stripes here. You seem to focus far more on Conservative governments than Liberal/NDP governments in your advocacy for PR.
@FairVoteCanada I see a clear majority of the popular vote 52.56% going to the UCP in the graphic you present. You seem to only be concerned about pop vote equaling proportion of seats when Conservatives win.
